Filibusters?

CNN, on Saturday ran an AP article on the Democrats’ weekly radio address. The address was given by Sen. Mitchell (D-ME). Mitchell was urging senators to block a proposed Republican ban on filibusters of judicial nominees, the so-called “nuclear option.” Fox ran the same AP article on Sunday but then followed up with another AP article today headlined “GOP look to Byrd as precedent-setter” which starts with this statement: “Republicans say their attempt to change Senate rules to eliminate judicial filibusters follows a precedent set by Democratic Sen. Robert Byrd.” Byrd is quoted as disagreeing but the headline and tone favor the GOP in this article. I doubt we will see the AP article on CNN but I’ll check to see if they run it later today or tomorrow.
